Mountains and Maple Syrup
Pittsfield makes good use of its mountainous terrain and New England charm. The notoriously difficult annual Pittsfield Snowshoe Race (and even more extreme Death Race) challenges contestants from all over. The unofficial town center is found at the Original General Store, serving up delicious breakfast, local news, and Vermont maple syrup.
