About Us

Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region (CEDRR) launched Real Rutland in 2016 after identifying the need to increase our workforce and overall population in Rutland County to support the necessary business growth. 

Real Rutland is made up of real people who live, work, and play right here in Rutland County, Vermont. The entire staff and all of our dedicated volunteers are passionate about this region, and all are proud to call Rutland County home. 

Through the work of Real Rutland and our complimentary Concierge Program, we highlight Rutland County with images and messaging that accurately represent Vermont – and we promise that they are all real. 

Our Concierge Program is made up of over 35 active volunteers who work first-hand with individuals and families that are considering a move to Rutland County to give you a real perspective of what life here looks like. Our friendly volunteers can help answer questions about employment, raising a family, things to do, the best way to meet people, and so much more. 

Since the birth of Real Rutland, we have seen over 225 individuals relocate, specifically through the Real Rutland Concierge Program.  We are seeing success first-hand and the impact that these individuals and families are having throughout Rutland County as employees, friends, neighbors, and fellow community members.
