TOWN OF Pawlet

Taconic Mountain Town

Although Vermont is best known for the Green Mountains, the Taconic Mountain range also extends into the southwestern corner of the state. Near the northern terminus of the Taconics lies Pawlet, a postcard-perfect town defined by valley farmlands and unspoiled mountain peaks. After building an appetite from hiking the gorgeous nearby trails, stop in for dinner at The Barn Restaurant, known for its live bluegrass music and Wednesday night "Pickin' in Pawlet" open mic nights.
