Today on October 12, 2021, we are celebrating our great state for National Vermont Day. To celebrate, I am sharing my top five reasons for my love for Vermont – although the list truly is endless.

With the leaves starting to turn our bright colors, I am eager for fall outdoor activities to be in full swing. Don’t let me fool you, I do enjoy an 80-degree day lakeside with my feet in the water and a book in my hands but fall in Vermont is unlike any other season.

There are lots of things to appreciate about Rutland County like the strong sense of community, how passionate folks are about decorating for holidays, the breakfast foods, and for me, my favorite thing about Rutland is all the different green spaces, parks, and hiking trails!

Moving to Vermont is not something that you do accidentally. You have got to want to be close to nature. Eating wild raspberries on the disc golf course close. Shoveling several feet of snow close. Driving up into the clouds close. Vermont is one of the only places in the country where you can find all those things surrounded by progressive communities striving for self-improvement.
